Hot Fun in the Summertime

Time flies when you are having fun, so they say.  It is a little surprising to me that I have not posted in almost a month (not that all four of you noticed).  I am sure you are as busy as I am; but I am also taking a math class from hell and it is no day at the beach.  Insert sympathy & prayers here
The sad truth is that I never finished college.
I went at night and weekends on what has turned out to be the thirty-ish year plan.  I also successfully avoided taking the required math class; until now.  Now I have about a semester's worth of credits left and it would be pathetic
most unfortunate to continue to let some left brain work
get in my way of education.

Miss G (left) and friends

In the meantime, Miss G "Moved Up" to high school from the 8th Grade.  The temperature was a warm and sunny 98 degrees which was quite the experience in an un-air conditioned Quaker Meeting House.

The year has also ended at my school and summer hours are a beautiful thing.  The Parent's Association hosted an amazing lobster bake for the faculty and staff.

Can you believe this cake?

La Bonne Boulangerie always does an amazing job;
I did not have a piece, however.
Almost 40 lbs. down... only a few more to go.

The best part of GV is the Holiday Fair, though I did enjoy it a bit more when it was in the old gym and going back years to when they had attic treasures.

I did miss your postings!

How did I miss this post? 40 lbs down is amazing! Congratulations! We drove by Greenvale the other day on our way to Rottkamp's from my dad's house ... hope all's well and that you're having a great summer!

Ah yes, Greenvale. I guess she's moving on to Friend's. My parents still live in Meadow Spring, on the same street. Poor you, I did not have to take math at Duke. We were allowed to take Geology--Rocks for Jocks. I loved it. I slowed down on blogging when my i-photo blew up. I can tell you I took three giant steps backwards. Thanks for following!
